Meerkat, not true, Moyesie signed the world famous, banging goals in for fun, big hair, Marouane Fellaini

We played three hours of football against Frankfurt, so although it was poor from Creswell, there are plenty of other reasons why we ultimately fell short. I'm more pissed off today than I was yesterday, but I know in time that will pass. Having another crack next season at whatever competition we are in will still be something to look forward to when it comes around.

Moyes calling the team "brilliant" for keeping the score to 1-0 with 10-men sums up his loser mentality to me.

No wonder the dour jock has won FUCK ALL in his 20+ year top flight managerial career. What difference does it make that we didn't crumble and didn't "concede two or three goals" like "some other teams would have done"?

Negative, safety first, boring bollocks, keep the score down shite from Moyes, as per usual. No wonder he has never won an away game at Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea or Arsenal in all these years.

I sometimes think Moyes forgets the basic principle in football is to try to score more goals than the opposition, particularly in cup football.

Ref not responsible for the result .
The rebuilding job required for the squad is unfortunately going to take a number of windows .
I hope at least that targets have been identified by now and not starting looking for them in July /Aug .
I’m not keen on signing ageing freebies such as Lingard / Tarkowski, but if it meant more money for a striker, then so be it .
It seems though that Moyes has never signed a decent striker in his whole career .

Its all progress though. Important we stay conistently in around top 6.
Going to get tougher . Newcastle have cash and a half decent manager. Need to get some players in.

This team will one day be better for this cunt of an experience. Gotta take your lumps before you win anything. Next season conference league win, then another stab at europa the season after. Established European club, new owners all is well.

About Rice having a pop at the ref. Maybe uncalled for in the cold light of day. Maybe he was wound up.
At least he cares enough to call it how he saw it. Good lad!

It was noticeable that a foul similar to cresswell was done in midfield on lanzini and no foul was given.

Whenever the camera panned to their crowd, I couldn't help thinking the film Boys from Brazil had come true, with the gene pool of ZZ Top thrown into the mix.

I hadn't really thought about it but yeah it seems incredibly disproportionate to force 1 team to play with 10 men because of the unfair prevention of a 'potential' goalscoring opportunity. It ruined the entire contest. West Ham were punished way beyond what was fair and proportionate given the offense. Would it not be fairer to simply to allow the attacker a free run on goal from the position of the offense. 1 on 1's from that position are usually at best 50:50. We were robbed by what I believe is essentially a ridiculous and unfair rule of the game.

Rice not happy

Not Declan's finest moment.

I thought the Ref was fine. Moyes & Rice seemed to be too wound up on the night.

The ref is not always to blame when we lose.

I thought he had a good game and can't remember any significant decision that he got wrong apart from only giving Cresswell a yellow and VAR did its job there.

Hopefully experience will help in Europe next season - assuming we make it.

We definitely need to be more streetwise.
When we were taking corners and were being pelted with objects we should have stopped and told the ref. Refuse to play until it stops or walk off etc. Put ref under pressure.

He was awful, just not as bad as some of the other refs we've had in Europe

Re: ⚽ Eintracht v West Ham - Official Match Thread
Was the referee's performance that bad? We've certainly had much worse than that over the course of this season.

Ironically, the worst decision I can remember him doing was only giving a yellow card to Cresswell, before it was overturned.

I laughing at the short video I have seen with rice telling the red how bad he was.

I’ve seen the ball kicking from one angle and not seen what happened before it

Even at some point throw Diop on and launch high balls towards him, anything to unsettle them and nick a goal.
In true fat Sam mode we played for the 0-1
